This 1958 Chevrolet Corvette was specially ordered by its original owner for drag racing at Cordova Dragway in Illinois. To that point the car was equipped with RPO#579D 290-hp fuel injection, RPO#685 close-ratio four-speed, RPO#678 4:11 Positraction rear end, and RPO#419 auxiliary hard top. The Chevy was reportedly ordered with a soft top delete, radio delete, and washers delete as well.
