About
This Canada-based 1959 Ford Fairline 500 Skyliner Convertible represents the final production year for the unique retractable hard top feature, which employed three electric motors, 10 solenoids, and more than 600 feet of wiring to operate the folding steel roof. The system’s operation on this example is said to work very well, according to the seller, who adds the rest of the car’s older restoration is also holding up well.
