About

This 1968 Volkswagen Type 2 Transporter Dual-Cab Pickup is a rarity in America, thanks to the 1964 "chicken tax" that all but elimintated foreign-built pickups from the U.S. market. This VW was given a frame-on restoration, “replacing everything that needed to be replaced,” the seller says. A new SCAT-built 1.8-liter VW flat-four with dual carburetors replaced the original single-carb 1.6-liter engine, giving a healthy power boost.
