About
Volvo's P1800 sports coupe debuted in 1961, with styling penned by Pelle Petterson while he was working at the Italian design house Frua. The model became the 1800S after production moved to Volvo's Gothenburg factory and was updated with the 2.0L B20 engine for 1969. The 1800E followed for 1970 with the B20E engine, which used Bosch D-Jetronic electronic fuel injection and was rated at 130 horsepower and 130 lb-ft. of torque.
