About
This 1956 Volkswagen Type 2 single cab pickup was acquired as a project by the seller, a retired Volkswagen mechanic, in 2020 after it sat in a field for approximately 15 years and subsequently underwent a two-year refurbishment. A 1.6-liter flat-four and replacement four-speed manual transaxle were installed at that time, and the truck was repainted blue with red oak bed slats.
