About
The Austin-Healey 3000 succeeded the 100-Six for 1959, offered in two-seat BN7 and 2+2 BT7 configurations and powered by a 2.9-liter (2,912cc) six-cylinder in place of the smaller four; Mk I production continued into 1961 before the Mk II update. The BT7's 2+2 layout and factory overdrive gearbox made it the more usable, longer-legged sibling to the two-seat BN7 within the same range.
