About

This 1969 Plymouth Road Runner convertible was purchased by Metallica bassist Jason Newsted in August 1993 in Northern California using royalty money that he received for his work on the band’s Metallica record, which is also known as The Black Album. The car was refurbished just prior to Newsted’s acquisition, and it is powered by a 383ci V8 linked with a TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission.
