About
Introduced in 1976, the 924 was the first road-going Porsche to use a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout. To distinguish the Turbo and sharpen it into a genuine sports car, Porsche added a NACA-ducted hood and additional air intakes in the nose, along with four-wheel disc brakes on five-stud hubs, spoke-style alloy wheels, and a 5-speed manual transmission.
