This Ford Mustang drag car was conceived by Lieutenant Jack Snyder of the Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) as a focal point for the department’s education program that addressed alcohol- and drug-impaired driving. Christened “The Chaser,” it is modeled on the fast, lightweight Special Service Package (SSP) Fox-body Mustangs used by NHP during the 1980s.
