About
Acura launched the NSX for the 1991 model year as a mid-engine challenger to the established European exotics, and it was the first mass-produced car built around an all-aluminum monocoque chassis and body. Honda's engineers fitted it with a transversely mounted 3.0L C30A V6 featuring VTEC variable valve timing, titanium connecting rods, and an 8,000-rpm redline. Paired with the five-speed manual, it was rated at 270 horsepower and 210 lb-ft.
