Porsche 911

The Porsche 911 is the German sports car. It is a rear-engined, flat-six legend that's been in continuous production since 1964. The air-cooled 911's built through the 1990's have a visceral, analog driving experience. They are beautiful yet remain charming, dangerous yet reward hard driving. The newer, water-cooled generations retained much of the same character, but now span both the luxury sport-touring car market (via the standard trims, topped by the Turbo S) & the track-focused market (via the GT2's, GT3's, etc).

The 911 has inspired coach builders, resto-modders, and street racers like Singer, RUF, RWB, & Guntherwerks, all of whom put their own artistic spin on what the 911 can be, or could have been. It is the perfect sports car whether you are a troubled novelist, a red stock-car in a Disney/Pixar film, or the owner of a car listings website (like MaxFindsCars), the Porsche 911 is the car for you.
